Quality Questions to Understand Your Customer's Needs

Always remember, he or she who asks the questions is always in control. Get good at asking questions. The more you understand where your customers are going to, the challenges they face, what they want to achieve, the quicker you will provide a real solution and be of value to them. Here are some questions to get you thinking about what questions you can ask your customers.

What are your business goals? Short Term or Long Term?

What are the major challenges you currently face in your business or in your industry at the moment?

Tell me about your business, your products and the services you provide?

Who are some of your major competitors in your market place?

What do they do differently from you?

What have been some of your businesses major achievements in the past 12 months and some of your set backs?

What do you do well in your business?

What would you like to improve in your business?

What are some of the strategies you have planned to make these improvements happen?

Tell me about your people. How would you describe your team to me? Skills; abilities; individual needs; level of experience.

What are the areas of potential you would like these people to be able to tap into in the future?

What's most important to you when you make an investment in a product/service like mine?

What has to happen to make you feel you have received that?

How do you normally market your products and services?

What have you done in the past to gain greater customer loyalty?
